A: You are totally right about service people but it's the same at all the big box stores because the volume of business allows them to screw whomever they choose and not worry about it. Of course your mistake is to allow a service department to take your item without a firm return date in writing. If you had secured that, you tell them to replace it with equal or better value product or the lawyers will clean them out and the BBB will be closing them down. Don't ever take anything for granted; never accept anything not in writing; always stand up for your rights.
