Q: Melbournians (and anyone who has visited), what did you think of the architecture of Federation Square when it was opened in 2002 and what do you think of it now?
A: It's very ugly, particularly when you take its setting into account. How anyone could have come up with that design, much less have it approved is beyond me. It clashes badly with the river, the station, the cathedral and even Y&Js. Great concept though and an excellent forum and meeting place.
