A: In order to save money Royal Mail decided they would make their posties start later - this means that the mail is delivered to the sorting offices later, sorted by the posties later and, subsequently, delivered to you later. For some reason, with the kind of competition they are up against these days, Royal Mail think shooting themselves in both feet like this is a good idea.
