Q: Hello. I am looking to purchase a home in Charlotte, NC. Before I contact a realtor, I would like to identify locations with the highest resale value AND reputations for the best schools. Can anyone suggest neighborhoods or communities based on experience? Thank you!

These websites should give you the information you need: http://www.ncreportcard.org/src/ http://www.greatschools.net/ I am most familiar with the south Charlotte & Western Union County areas. I have 3 children in public schools right now and I am extremely satisfied. (We relocated from NY 10 years ago, but before my kids were in school, so I don't have a true frame of comparison.) Resale values have been fairly steady in these areas. Let me know if you would like a relocation kit -- I can also send individual school reports if you'd like.
