Q:
A: They need to have them all shut down. I worked there for 4 months and quit yesterday. Every terrible thing you hear about how wal-mart treats their employees is true. I was verbally abused by managers everyday and guess what no one higher up gives a damn. They just want their money and they don't care who they have to step on to get it. I advise anyone who is thinking about working their to look at it as a short term thing. Don't get stuck there for more than 6 months cuz then you'll be there forever. It takes Wal-Mart 2 years before you become full time, but they work ALL part-time employees like they are full time meaning you'll have to work 6 consecutive days in a row and each day will be 9 hours. You'll never have a weekend off. Trust me you'll get sick of that real quick. There are no benefits (no health coverage whatsoever). You don't get paid enough to see a doctor, but trust me you'll be catching colds and the flu often if you don't wash your hands every 15 minutes which you can't do because your not allowed to break until they tell you to. The pay is low. Nowadays you have to be making at least $9.75 to have a decent life. Wal-Mart refuses to go over minumum wage (I live in North Carolina now and I think minumum wage went up to $7.39 idk exactly) so all those lucky 9 hour shifts amount to nothing on your paycheck. Don't let wal-mart take you over like it tried to do me.
