Q: I am turning 16 in a few days and I'm wanting to make some good money and I enjoy being around electronics and so I think it would be a good job for me. But do you have to be older to work in that department and if so what other jobs would be good for a 16 year old at Wal-Mart?
A: You have to be 18 to work in any sales floor position at Wal-Mart, and that includes Electronics. The only jobs you can get at Wal-Mart at age 16 is Cashier or Cart Pusher. If you don't mind standing in one spot for a while and dealing with the occassional rude customer, be a cashier. If customers aren't your thing and you like being outside and exerting physical energy, be a cart pusher. Either way, any Wal-Mart in the world is ALWAYS hiring both positions, because the turnover rates are so high. Good luck!
