Question about USPS?

Q: I bought a printer last week from ebay. I payed to the seller last sunday, and the seller sent the package last monday. He gave the tracking number. I check the tracking number and it showed that the seller delivered the package to the Post office. He sent the package with Priority Mail. But now, after 3 days(the seller sent the package the 7july, Priority mails is from 2 to 3 days)The track number showed the same thing since the first day, that seller delivered the package. What's wrong with it? The seller told me that USPS never show the real tracking. Is this true?

A: I had almost this exact situation. It has been my experience that the USPS is better at updated the tracking shipment info -- after the package has been delivered. lol That suggest to me that the package is scanned on arrival at the post office and then again at delivery. Even though it says the system is updated every night, it doesn't. With UPS, their computer system "estimates" which cities it goes through so that you can watch the 'process' online. A tad false but I suppose it settles people knowing their package is 'on the move'. While Priority Mail is generally 2-3 days, I don't believe there is an actual *guaranteed* delivery time on priority mail. Ask the seller to confirm the package was indeed shipped priority mail and not 'flat rate box priority'... there are ways to ship that are very close in description and perhaps the seller sent it flat rate box. -Maybe. The post office will probably tell you to wait at least ten days. If it does not show up, you can at least file a claim of non-receipt at eBay. Good Luck!
