Nadi astrology?

Q: (when questions r posted in HOROSCOPE category, only astrologers r answering it,which i do not want. ) Only persons who had seen "nadi astrology" readings of themselves or of their relatives or of their friends answer. Others please ignore the question and do not answer. Being a clinical psychologist in India ,i am used to patients with problems created by Fatalistic belief in astrology. Nadi astrology predicted fire accident(besides other pessimistic predictions) for an indian woman(housewife). The client was severely depressed, terribly frightened due to fatalistic belief in it. From one of my colleagues ,I came to know the exact method employed by them and know that nadi astrology is not so accurate as it claims to be. With this info,I was able to convince the person to markedly reduce the fear in fatalism of predictions,ALTHOUGH NOT COMPLETELY. The client is agreeing that most nadi predictions fail My client saw readings of many people but could not find any prediction of fire -accident in them and concluded that it is a rare prediction.I find that the patients fear is mainly due to belief that the above prediction is rare. But the client is willing to change the belief provided suitable evidence is provided. I need info on statistics of such predictions. people go to nadi astrologers to hear good things and get hope and optimism but what could the motive for nadi astrologers to give such frightening predictions? why do they emphasise on fatality of predictions? How common are predictions like accident, fire accident etc? Does fire-accidents appear commonly in predictions of nadi-astrology? I welcome any explanation which would possibly convince the client that the above prediction is common (not rare) and that nadi astrologers routinely make such predictions like fire-accident to most people who come to them.

A: Dear Sir, Like any other Austrological pridictions, the Nadi prediction is also based on hypothesis. Taking the shelter under 50/50 truth, they also tilt the predictions to their benefit and make money out of people,s ignorance and dumb belief. Being a Clinical Psychologist yourself, you know better how these so called Nadi readers take the innocents for ride. They do not keep any statistics of their predictions, forget about the figures on fire predictions. Please take care of the Patient. See how best you can relive her. Good luck.
