Q: i am planning to buy samsung omnia but i have some problems here.i am from Malaysia and the price here is RM2799 for 8GB and RM2999 for 16GB. i have compare the price of the phone here with the same phone in Singapore (neighbor for Malaysia) and the price turn out to be RM2400 maximum (which can be lower up to RM2300 per phone). i know everyone also will go for the lower price but then the 2nd problem occur. I asked one of the Samsung dealer here in Malaysia whether there are any different between the phone produced in my own country and the phone produced in Singapore?? they said that the specs may be different and there may also be some software difference between those two, and that is also why the price is cheaper there. they also claimed that the phone here in Malaysia directly came from Korea (biggest manufacturer of Samsung) and the one in Singapore is not (Singapore produced themselves) so i am in a dilemma now, whether to take the one in my country or should i grab the one from Singapore.is it true bout the difference of specs, software,etc claimed by the dealer i met?
A: Just come down to Woodlands or any shop in town like Singtel or M1 and ask them for one without contract.... They will be cheaper in Singapore. I have one , its good better than Iphone. Seriously, you should take a trip here to buy it...Good Luck
